"Van Go"

"We should go on a road trip!"
"We should buy a van!"...
These were ideas that came up sometime during last summer (2015). Neither of us really thought that we could make it happen, but a year later here we are. In one week, we will venture out on the longest road trip either of us have ever taken.

The plan is to drive from Petawawa, ON to White Horse, YT. According to Google Maps, that's 56 hours, or 5273 km. We have 3 weeks to get there and back, of course stopping along the way to sleep and site see.

The idea was to purchase a minivan and build a bed in the back for camping. After scouring the internet, we found our 2006 Honda Odyssey EX. The decision to get a Honda was based on the fact that I drive a very reliable 2006 Honda Civic Si. The V6 engine and amazing gas mileage also contributed to our decision. We found "Van Go" (credit to Justin for that name) in Ottawa after checking out a handful of other vans. The price was right and the mileage was low (138,000 when we first got it). So after weeks of preparation and anticipation we're ready!
